University of Leeds
This is high octane learning. The University of Leeds is one of the Russell Group of elite unis, in the Oxford/Cambridge kind of league. 30,000 students attend from all over the world, because the academic standards, facilities and course options are, well, worldclass.
The uni is regularly ranked up there with the top ten in the UK and amongst the top 100 worldwide. Recently 88% of final year students said they were satisfied/very satisfied with their courses. Staff have been awarded 26 National Teaching Fellowships (more then any other uni). Quite impressive.
The campus is also close to the city centre and all its facilities are on the same site, so getting an amazing degree couldn’t be easier (that btw, is a facetious comment).
Top Trumps data include:
1831 - date of birth
31,350 students, approximately
7,726 staff
5 libraries
1,263 undergraduate courses
714 postgraduate courses
Being there
Everything is pretty much top-of-the-range – libraries, IT, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, lecturers, conversation, it’s all A*.
The campus also gives you plenty of chilled and quiet spaces when you need them, plus more lively cafes, bars, shops and communal areas. The Student Union is highly rated, and really supportive whenever somebody needs help or advice.
And of course, as you’re close to the city centre, you can let loose/shop/chill/escape/explore whenever.
